Online programmes

Below are the steps you must complete if you are going to be starting an undergraduate online programme at the University of St Andrews.

Once you have completed these steps, you will be a fully matriculated student of the University and ready to start your studies with us.

It is University policy not to send out invoices to students for payment of tuition or accommodation as all the fee information is published online.

Entrants should note that it is a condition of registration with the University that they accept liability for their tuition fees.

Entrant email

You will only be able to complete the following steps after you receive your entrant email. For September entry, the Registry team will start sending entrant emails in April, and you should receive this email once your offer has become unconditional (usually within two weeks if your offer was previously conditional).

Open your computer account and activate your University email.

Your University email address is yourusername@st-andrews.ac.uk. Your username is included in your entrant email and should always be lowercase. You will create your password when you open your account.

Once you have opened your email account, you will be able to access it using Office 365. We will use this account to contact you, so please check your University email at least every 48 hours.

Offers for accommodation

If you are applying for University accommodation, all correspondence from Student Accommodation Services will be sent direct to your St Andrews email address once you have set up your account. It is important you check this on a regular basis.
