New undergraduate students

As a new undergraduate student, you may wish to find out what you need to do to prepare for your studies at the University of St Andrews. From applying for accommodation to completing registration and matriculation, you can find out more on these pages.

Entrant email

You will only be able to complete most of your preparation steps after you receive your entrant email. For September entry, the Registry team will start sending entrant emails in April, and you should receive this email once your offer has become unconditional (usually within two weeks if your offer was previously conditional).

Arts, Divinity and Science

For entrant students undertaking a full-time programme in the Faculties of Arts, Divinity or Science.

Medicine

For entrant students undertaking a BSc programme in Medicine.

For entrant students undertaking the Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine (ScotGEM) MBChB programme.

Inbound study abroad and exchange students

For entrant students undertaking a study abroad or exchange programme.

Part-time degrees

For entrant students undertaking an evening degree, part-time daytime, or upskilling programme.

BA International Honours

For entrant students undertaking a BA International Honours joint programme with the College of William & Mary.

Online programmes
