Accommodation

BA International Honours students are guaranteed University halls of residence accommodation for all four years provided that they apply by the annual accommodation deadlines.

There are various options and meal plans to suit individual tastes and requirements.

There are ten undergraduate halls of residence in St Andrews, each offering a unique experience.

When applying for accommodation, you will select your preference for a type of residence rather than selecting an individual hall. Different options to choose from:

  • Single or shared room. There are a number of rooms available which can be shared by two or three students, or you can choose to have a room to yourself.
  • Standard (hall-style) or en-suite (you have your own toilet and shower).
  • Catered (meals provided for you) or self-catered (cooking for yourself).

Besides the facilities offered by your hall, you will be able to take advantage of an active social life including gaming and film nights, hall balls, and organised trips. Each hall has its own traditions and social calendar, so you will not be short on opportunities to socialise with your residential community.
