Paula Villegas wins Teaching Excellence Award 2023-24

The Teaching Excellence Awards recognise the best teaching at the University, and the judging panel were impressed by Paula's committment to teaching, collegiality and innovation, as well as strong student testimony. Paula's student feedback was noted as "resoundingly positive", recognising the steps that she has taken to assist with their learning and praising her helpfulness as a lecturer, as well as her enthusiasm and friendly nature.

Paula was presented with the award by Dame Sally Mapstone at a ceremony earlier this week (see picture), and was overjoyed to receive the prize.

"This is the third year in a row where a member of IE staff has received a Teaching Excellence Award, after Kirsty Duff last year and Lori Davis in 2022, which just goes to show the creative and innovative teaching taking place in IE!"
