Image modification

The University's photographic technicians can tackle any discipline which has an imaging application. They work with virtually anything that can be scanned up to 16 × 12 inches (40.5 × 30.5cm).

They have expertise in image modification of any kind of imaging application but these are primarily historic photographic prints. The photographs are scanned at high resolution and then detailed and skilled digital repair is carried out on the damaged photographs.

The photos are then saved as digital images but many customers request high-end photographic prints on specialist media e.g. fine art paper, textured materials, for example, canvas and on premium digital papers. The prints can be of any size up to A0 posters.

This work is carried out for a number of academic Schools and Units, in particular, Art History and the University Library but any enquiry is welcome.

Personal enquiries are always welcome both within and outside the University.
