School of Management Careers

School of Management Careers ("Management Careers") is a service specifically designed for students at the School of Management with the aim of increasing awareness of career-related opportunities and professional development.

Management Careers offers a wide range of initiatives, including talks and workshops with guest speakers from a selection of industries and not-for-profit organisations, and events with alumni. Talks have been given by, among many others, speakers from:

  • Accenture, including the Managing Director of Organisation Strategy
  • Carlsquare technology investment bank
  • Afry
  • Hello Fresh.

The service also works with the University's Careers Centre, presenting events and drop-in sessions conducted by one of the Career Centre's experts or guest speakers.

MCM Premier Financial Summit

On Saturday 30 March 2024, Mercury Capital Management (MCM) held their Premier Financial Summit, which was open to all students. MCM is a non-profit student run fund with the goal of providing financial skill development and educational experiences for its members and the St Andrews community as a whole.

The organisers aimed to give attendees a holistic view on business and finance, not only to help them learn about where they might see themselves in the future, but also enabling them to network with key industry leaders.

The event featured speakers from banking, consulting and early investments, representing a variety of different markets, locations and executive positions.
