Who can apply for a pre-sessional course?
Each pre-sessional course is designed to meet the needs of a particular type of student. The type of pre-sessional course you can study depends mainly on whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, and whether you have a University offer with or without an English language condition.
Based on these two characteristics, there are four types of students:
- postgraduates with an English language condition on their offer
- postgraduates without an English language condition on their offer
- undergraduates with an English language condition on their offer
- undergraduates without an English language condition on their offer.
This table shows you who can apply for each of the pre-sessional courses at the University of St Andrews. Course titles indicate whether the course is open to postgraduate or undergraduate offer-holders.
