Are you looking to make a difference in 2024?

To celebrate National Mentoring month we are back again for another round of Coffee Connect, so why not sign up to inspire others with your experiences and stories about your own journey through University and beyond.

We know that it’s not always easy to connect with others, which is why we have teamed up with the Careers Centre to bring you Coffee Connect. Join over 3200 alumni and students who have signed up previously to have ‘a relaxed chat over a virtual coffee’.

We’ll take the stress out of networking by making the connection for you - matching you with an young alumni or a current student to have relaxed chats over a virtual coffee. If you would like to join as a mentee, then we will try and match you with a fellow alum.

1. Login or sign up to our new Saint Connect platform. Once signed in click on Connections and Mentoring and then scroll down to find the Coffee Connect New Year New Network group.
2. Once you find the group, click to join as a Mentor and the complete the relevant application form (will take around 2 minutes) by Sunday 28 January 2024.
3. All mentoring relationships will be made through Saint Connect, St Andrews’ global, online community for students, alumni and friends of the University. 
4. We’ll use your application to connect you with a student or graduate with a similar background or interest.
5. We’ll alert you by an email notification through Saint Connect when you’ve been matched with your mentor/mentee. Your connection can also be found on Saint Connect by selecting “My Connections” from the Connections and Mentoring tab on the left-hand side of the page.
6. You’ll have a month to reach out and initiate a friendly, casual conversation over coffee!

The deadline for applications is Sunday 28 January 2024.

Please remember that this is just the beginning – there's no science behind making a connection that will have all the answers to your questions or be able to offer you an opportunity straight away.
