Part-time local jobs (Look Local)

St Andrews students are always looking for local, part-time opportunities that will fit alongside their studies. You can advertise your work or volunteering vacancies to them through Look Local – a secure and free way to reach University of St Andrews students.

To do this, you can either:

  • Register or sign in to CareerConnect and select 'Look Local' where appropriate.
  • Download and complete the Look Local form (Word), and return this to employers@st-andrews.ac.uk. The Careers Centre will let you know when your vacancy has been successfully uploaded onto its system.

If you are having problems accessing or completing the Look Local form or would like the Careers Centre to edit, extend or remove your vacancy, please contact employers@st-andrews.ac.uk.

Vacancies submitted as part of Look Local must comply with the Careers Centre’s terms and conditions.  Read our vacancy advertising policy for full details.

Look Local approved employer

You can become a Look Local approved employer by agreeing to the following when you fill out the Look Local form:

  • Pay at least the National Minimum Wage on time, and only recruit volunteers if you are a registered charity or non-profit organisation.
  • Observe a culture of tolerance, respect, kindness and courtesy to all at all times.
  • Follow and contribute to best practice in the pursuit of greater equality and diversity.

In return, the Careers Centre agrees to raise your profile across the University throughout the academic year.
